Mazda USA’s June ’18 Sales Were off the Charts

June 2018 was a banner sales month for Mazda USA, and we’d venture to say it was arguably one of the best Junes of any automaker in any category. The dynamic lineup of Mazda vehicles posted sales numbers that were off the charts, led by the launch of the next generation of a certain SUV.

The SUV we speak of is the Mazda CX-3, for which June ’18 was its best month ever. This record-breaking performance was fueled in part by the debut of the all-new 2019 Mazda CX-3, the latest iteration of this beloved crossover SUV. All told, Mazda CX-3 sales were up an incredible 92.3 percent year-over-year (YOY) from June 2017. And for the year 2018, sales of this stylish, thrilling SUV are almost 25 percent higher than last year.

And it wasn’t just the Mazda CX-3 that contributed to the Mazda brand’s stellar June ’18 sales. The Mazda CX-5 and Mazda CX-9, both of which are available and ready for test driving at our Mazda dealership serving Olympia, WA, reinforced their popularity with American drivers. The Mazda CX-5 delivered its best-ever June sales, with 12,710 units sold and a YOY increase of more than 33% percent.

Plus, year to date (YTD) sales of this fabulous crossover SUV are almost 42 percent higher than 2017. Meanwhile, the Mazda CX-9 just missed setting a new June record, coming in at close to 2,400 vehicles sold and posting a 40.1 percent YOY sales increase.

Among the Mazda sedans available at our local Mazda dealership, the Mazda6 took top honors in June ’18. Over 3,200 units sold nationwide, translating to a YOY sales increase of almost 36% percent
